The Vali-e-Asr Reproductive Health Research Center is dedicated to advancing the full spectrum of reproductive and women's health through integrated basic, translational, clinical, and population research. The Center is committed to health-systems research, including the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of priority interventions for non-communicable diseases, and to partnership with national reproductive-health institutions to translate evidence into policy and practice.
Reproductive Medicine & Fertility Preservation
Improving ART outcomes; developing novel therapies for polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis; applying genetics to the diagnosis of infertility; addressing male reproductive health; and preserving fertility in patients with cancer.
Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Health
Managing and studying high-risk pregnancy to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Gynecologic Oncology & Urogynecology
Diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of gynecologic cancers and pelvic floor disorders.
Sexual & Reproductive Health Across the Life Course
Adolescent and young-adult gynecologic health; prevention of sexually transmitted infections; and promotion of sexual health literacy and awareness.
Mental Health & Social Determinants of Health
Mental health in obstetric and gynecologic conditions; clinical psychology and family law; and the social factors shaping reproductive health.
Underpinning this clinical agenda is a translational science program — spanning stem-cell biology, cellular and molecular research, and the evaluation of medicinal-plant and other novel therapeutics — directed at the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of reproductive disease.
مرکز تحقیقات بهداشت باروری ولی‌عصر به ارتقای گسترهٔ کامل سلامت باروری و سلامت زنان، از راه پژوهش یکپارچهٔ پایه، ترجمانی، بالینی و جمعیتی متعهد است. این مرکز به پژوهش در نظام سلامت، از جمله اثربخشی و هزینهٔ‌اثربخشی مداخلات اولویت‌دار در بیماری‌های غیرواگیر، و به هم‌کاری با نهادهای ملی بهداشت باروری برای تبدیل شواهد به سیاست‌گذاری و خط‌مشی، پایبند است.
حفظ باروری
بهبود پیامدهای ART؛ توسعهٔ درمان‌های نوین سندرم تخمدان پلی‌کیستیک و آندومتریوز؛ کاربرد ژنتیک در تشخیص ناباروری؛ توجه به سلامت باروری مردان؛ و حفظ باروری در بیماران مبتلا به سرطان.
سلامت مادر، جنین و نوزاد
مدیریت و مطالعهٔ حاملگی‌های پرخطر برای بهبود پیامدهای مادری و نوزادی.
انکولوژی زنان و اوروژنیکولوژی
تشخیص، پیشگیری و درمان سرطان‌های ژنیکولوژیک و اختلالات کف لگن.
سلامت جنسی و باروری در طول عمر
سلامت ژنیکولوژیک نوجوانان و جوانان؛ پیشگیری از عفونت‌های آمیزشی؛ و ارتقای سواد و آگاهی سلامت جنسی.
سلامت روان و مؤلفه‌های اجتماعی سلامت
سلامت روان در بیماری‌های زنان و مامایی؛ روان‌شناسی بالینی و حقوق خانواده؛ و عوامل اجتماعی مؤثر بر سلامت باروری.
زیربنای این برنامهٔ بالینی، برنامه‌ای در علوم ترجمانی است؛ از زیست‌شناسی سلول‌های بنیادی و پژوهش‌های سلولی-مولکولی تا ارزیابی گیاهان دارویی و دیگر درمان‌های نوین، که به تشخیص، پیشگیری و درمان بیماری‌های باروری معطوف است.
